2.2 amps with the \'\'brake on\'\'

Blowing a hoolie in Poole at the moment the wind generator which is mounted up the mizzen is still sticking out 2.2 amps even though the charge control has put the brake on.

So to stop it frying my batteries Ive left the lights on to leave a steady drain in the system.... hope the kids dont turn up, Im always telling them to ''turn the bl**dy lights OFF you'll drain the battery''!!

We're not going outside here on Brighton seafront, one can only sympathise with the few liveabords in Brighton marina below us. Estimating 40 to 50knot gusts and driving rain. The street lamps are heeling northwards.

Not a breath of wind in Grenada and steamy hot but then we are heading your way in two days. Hope those winds have died down by Wednesday.

Blowing for tugs here in Rome also. Bouncing around like a good 'un and that's in the marina.

2.2A is hardly a frying current. You might gas a lttle but I think it little to worry about. I usually disregard anything less than C/100 where C is the 20 Hr capacity of the battery bank.

Of course you might have fancy sealed batteries but for a couple of days I'd still ignore it.

Re: 2.2 amps with the \'\'brake on\'\'

24v bank showing 29.2v so switched off wind genie all together batteries are plain old fashioned truck batteries used and abused then recycled /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif was a very windy weekend for sure
