Have been away too long. Went to FC for the 1st time since late April, and its still stood there on the hard looking forlorn and a bit dirty.
So, changed the cutlass bearing, realigned the stripper, stripped and rebuilt the Kiwiprop, put on the new anodes, and realigned the shaft at the engine mounts.
Also got 1/2 the engine service completed, will finish that today.
Even managed to install the new searchlight socket in the forecabin so we can dangle the light cord out on deck and spot moorings.
Going to get a bloke to renew the stripes around the waterline while I am away. Any recommendations for vinyl stripe purveyors near Southend?
Rochford is repairing its slipway, so no launches until end of July, but I am still determined to be back in by Pirates weekend.
There, I am feeling much better now.
