1968 Mercury 650

Looking for a wiring schematic for 1968 Mercury 650 (65 HP, S/N 2352990) Don’t want to buy a complete manual just yet till I see if it’s wired right and runs. Just bought it and it has an ignition problem. The wiring has been butchered by someone and never ran after that. I suspect its wired wrong. Thanks for any help. JC

your local 'big' marine dealer should have an aftermarket book for this motor, think mine covers them, will look tonight at home. wire in these motors very inferior quality and biggest problem the motor has.
