1956 motors

i am trying to find some info out on my 1955 16hp scott atwater motor. i am looking to down size but cant find hardly anything on the 16hp. just on 7.5. what could something like this sell for? it runs with one original owner before me. i was just looking to sell it to buy something smaller, but i dont want to cheat myself if i may be sitting on something. or am i sitting on a pile? lol

i am not looking for much here just wondering what something like this my be worth. any info at this point would be good. were they good motors? are they rare? could it maybe worth something? thanks to all who have looked, but does anyone know anything about them? thanks and happy trails!

turns out after looking at the title...its a 1955 motor. not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Got any pictures? To be honest this really isn't the right forum for your engine; there are specialist oldtimer outboard/speed boat forums which will have folk who'll be able to tell you what it's worth and the name of the foreman at the factory that built it.
