I posted this request on the PBO forum so please forgive for the repeat here but it occurred to me that I might well have posted here first.
I bought a 56lb CQR type, couldn't lift it, swopped it for a 16kg. However, I hand haul and that one is still too heavy. I boat on non-tidal Thames with a 30ft grp oldie and I think a 6-10kg CQR would almost certainly do and save my aching back.
It appears genuine, (what would I know?) having a forged shank with the weight cast into the shank, galvanised and in very clean condition.
Similar but smaller given a welcome home.
I do stress I want a CQR and no other pattern. Thanks fellas.
