16 oz propane

Hi guys,

I've just bought one of these for a boat warming idea, http://www.camptech.co.uk/zodihotvent.html from e bay. The problem is that it runs on 16 oz propane cylinders which I don't think are avaliable in the UK

Any ideas what I can do to either adapt a uk avaliable cylinder or source the 16 oz cylinders

One thing you could do is fill in the email gas cartridge enquiry form on the website.

Without examining one it is impossible to say whether it would be feasible or not to make an adaptor to fit a commonly available cartridge. It you have access to a small lathe and have the necessary turning skills it may be possible but otherwise it is too dangerous to contemplate.


Another thought: Modify the heat exchanger to fit another make of small stove that does take readily available cartridges, or even one that takes refillable cylinders

Unfortunately, the Zodi Range of products have not yet achieved CE Approval.

As such, they are not permitted to be sold in the UK or Europe.

I could not make the e mail enquiry link work as I don't have outlook or any pop 3 e mail account set up on my pc...I had called with no answer. Thanks for the links to the calor gas shop, I never thought of that and they are exctly the right cylinders. Thanks so much for the constructive help.
