I see, with some surprise, that this month's YM carries not one but two of my posts from this forum (with photos, even).

Both about my failure to understand fairly rudimentary facts about yacht equipment.

So now the whole world knows what a thickhead I am.

Never found out what it was for but suspect I know what it is going to be for:

An outboard motor cover and two winch covers.

If it's any consolation, I have no idea what the canvas is for and didn't understand the techi answers for the electric gizmo question.

There again, the only GPS I have is a handheld that came with an instruction CD, not much use at the start of a cruise. It took me three days to figure out how to find the position page!
