Does such a thing exist and is it any good? I Have a Maeco, which is brilliant but won’t run off the inverter - or is it possible to get an inverter that would run it. If there is how much battery life would it consume?

An inverter with a high enough rating with a pure sine wave would likely power a dehumidifier no problem but it wouldn't last long on batteries unless you have a huge bank and masses of solar or wind. This is assuming you'd in a cold damp environment like UK winter and the dehumidifier would need to work hard, plus there wouldn't much light to for the solar panels to use.

If you on a mooring without shore power then ventilation is your friend and perhaps 12v computer fans to move air in areas which might not circulate as well.

I have a Meaco which will run off my Victron multiplus. It draws about 700W. The inverter is rated at 1.3kw continuous. However, if I use mains to run the system then consumption is about 1-2KWh per day. At 12V with inverter efficiency thats between 100 and 200AH per day. Unless you have lots of solar and its summer its a battery killer.
