Hello all i have got my boat up the driveway and was thinking of putting a tube heater in the cabin to keep the chill and damp at bay but i have to find out how much it will cost to run so i can pay the extra on the bill.
I have tried googling it but have only found USA.com answers so any clues? guys and gals would be much appreciated.

Should be 120W x 24 hours = 2880W or 2.8kW.

Cost depends on what you're paying per unit (kWh). At 10p/unit it would be 28p/day.

Doesn't look much but soon adds up.

You can put it on a timer for 3-6 hours/day, during the coldest time (i.e. the wee small hours). If you also keep your hatches locked open a slit, it encourages air movement and keeps the boat dry.

Good luck

A tube heater won't get rid of damp. You need ventilation. As for keeping the chill at bay, cold shouldn't do any damage to your boat - and, in any case, a tiny 120W heater won't make any difference.
