Having burnt out a few small pumps rfecently does anyone know of a really good solid 12 volt air pump for pumping up ribs? I know there is a web site out there with some good ones on but cannot find it.

Agree 100% but worth knowing these are not made by Plastimo. The manufacturer is Scoprega SpA at www.scoprega.it.
Has two integral pumps with auto switch that flicks from high speed low pressure to low speed higher pressure once needed. Also has a lifetime guarantee on repairs or parts.
Oakley marine in brighton, they do one which is brilliant. Give them a call, sorry I don't have any more information. The one in question can be set to do high pressure floors etc.
ignore the narrow end it comes off then I set the dinghy valve to open and the 3.1m dinghy inflates in 3-4 mins.
You could use it but a bit squishy so a few pumps with a small manual hand pump completes the job, the small manual pump then stays on board in case of puncture.
This pump is now 10 years old and still going strong, it will not give high pressure but inflates a dinghy in a fraction of the time of other pumps.
There is only one, the LVM available from Force 4 at £74.85 and most other online chandleries, It's the green one.
My last one lasted 12 years before being dunked once too many times, I went straight out and bought the same again.
Brillient. Will blow up the dingy in about 2 minutes. Quite powerful so connect direct to the battery and don't convert to cigar plug (as I did) because your circuitry probably won't take it.
I couldn't believe it, but had a look at their site and found it! How did you discover that?
It's built about 15 miles far from where I live, and I didn't even know of the existance of such company...
...though I'm not surprised anymore by the amazing number of players within and around the boating industry!
