Is it possible to purchace one or can u only run a household microwave through an inverter?all comments much appreciated.

240v Microwave= £39.99 even in Stainless steel (Tescos)
12v Microwave=£300+ (A Swindlery)
Inverter= £75 and can be used for any other device. (Screwfix, Maplin etc)With sine wave.
Aluijten is correct - they are not as efficient as standalone 12v devices.

Got a 12v Samsung microwave fitted on board Yanita.
When Mrs Yanita's not sailing I have to feed the kids (Can't cook - won't cook).

At swindleries they go for £300+ - bought mine at a local caravan shop (including all fuses & leads) for £199. When you need anything 12v, a caravan shop should always be your first port of call.
