Hi. Can anybody help me? I am looking to buy a 12 volt suitable pump for transfering diesel from 20 litre jerry cans in a shallow cockpit locker to the fuel filling inlet. So far I have been using a syphon device but it is slow and quite precarious. There is a nearby 12v power point of unknown ampage on the binnacle or alternatively, I have one of those 12v power packs which I use with the dinghy inflator.

i use a "Drill pump" as supplied by the Draper company and sold in car accessory shops. In the chuck of a cordless drill it transfers enough diesel from my spare cans to the filler to allow the remainder to be puored without spillage. It would do the lot in a few minutes with no problem but I try to conserve the drill's battery.
