114 mph at Sandettie light

XC weather have current wind at Sandettie light as 114 MPH - and it's in maroon - is this true, or the web equivelent of a typo?

sat in a bar ( Island Blues) in St John USVI 1 day ,they had the weather channel on tv, as the local weather came on everyone in the place was in fits as it was reported that it was 30degreesF (-2c) and snowing this was a shock as we all thought that the shorts n t-shirts we were wearing may be insufficient.
So the answer was to stay put until it was officially back into the 90's. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Direct data from Sandettie show a relatively fast pressure drop followed by a rise accompanied by a sudden increase in wind speed , a squall perhaps ?
