I'm helping my son with a project that requires a 10mm diameter stainless prop shaft to pass through the hull. How can we make a good waterproof seal? I can't imagine there are stern glands that small.
First thoughts:- Lip seals, but probably with specially made cartridge or can you arrange a fixed tube that rises above the waterline?
I was thinking fixed tube but not sure about friction /heat.
Its pretty much on the waterline. How about a 10mm pipe compression fitting but rather than a copper olive use some sort of packing?

Less than a pound each for 10 mm seals. If worried hen fit two in the same cavity
