10mm and 3/8\'\' copper tube compatability

Is 10mm copper tube compatable with a 3/8'' compression fitting?
This is for a water, not gas, system.

Yes - not to gas standards though! You'll have to wear down the diameter nearly half a mm to fit the cap and olive. Best of luck,

Assemble the compression fitting and nut, but no olive, and run a 10mm drill through to the original depth machined inside the fitting.
Assemble joint with 10mm pipe and a 10mm olive/compression ring.
