Is this for a yacht?

If so it'll be quite a weight. I used to race a boat that was cruised as well. usaul crusing crew was 4 or 5, racing crew was 10, 11, or 12, depending. Owner's solution was a 6 person canister l/r kept aboard permanently, and another 6 persoan valise which lived in his garage, until required for racing. I believe he owned one, and rented the other season per season.

Could that be a more manageable solution for you?

Just a thought.

remember that the stability of a ten man raft will be severely compromised if there are fewer than ten bodies in it. Will you alway have ten bodies? Two rafts may well be a better solution, and will be easier to handle and provide redundency.

I know that that the load is part of the stability design but is this a realistic consideration....what use a 4 man raft if only one of you makes it....should we be looking at individual escape pods or super survival suits.....videos of disasters always seem to show unmanned rafts that have auto inflated drifting the right way up untroubled by not having a ballast load, but then these tend to be commercial units...is it a quality thing.....
