If that is the way it is going I had better make sure that the Diesel tank is topped up and the spare containers are full.

I don't think that 1 tank will get us all the way across.

Good luck for the trip everyone. We are going in June - I've been nominated as navigator so I'll be asking more silly questions. Have a good duvel, I mean, time.

No, not Duvel, there's nothing like draught Kasteel. Only about 11-12%. I know it's at the Ibis in Blankenberg but have heard you can get it in Ostend

LOL...

smooth?..... SMOOTH?..... at 11% I should think the stuff burns as it goes down....

Just found 2 bottles of Duvel at the back of the cupboard that I forgot I had... bad form I know, but somewhat of a result regardless..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have a mind, and am not afraid to speak it.
I make no apologies. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There; that's the last of the humility done with /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: Kasteelbier

We may have a problem with going to Oostende....

My Part 1 registration 'change of ownership' was sent off 4 weeks ago, and still no returned certificate... I phoned before hand, and they said 10 days.....

I've spoken to them, and it 'may' be back in time.... but current lead time is 'weeks'....

They currently have the bill of sale and the old part 1 certificate..... so i'd be a bit stuffed......

Registry

Hi
When we had problems with our part 1 last year, we spoke to Vicky from Ships Registry on 02920 44 88 58. Eventally, due to severe time constraints, I went to Cardiff to finalise everything.
That may help.

Re: Registry

Thanks for that... could be worth a try... i'm a bit stuffed though, as we are planning on leaving for Oostende Thursday evening, and I start a new job on Monday morning, so wouldn't be that popular if I were to swan off to Cardiff for a day just a couple of days into the new role, with the Friday already booked for Annual Leave!!!!!!

It maybe that I end up going to Cardiff on Friday, and getting to Oostende late if things don't happen in time...

In fairness, the Registry were sympathetic to my plight, and seemed to be willing to do what they could to help.... only time will tell....

Re: Registry

Thanks for that advice Peter.... i'll bear it in mind.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Several people have said, " just go anyway", but thats a bit of a risk for me.... if it doesn't arrive, we'll just go cruise the east coast in a bit of a sulk instead.....
