Any idea of the source of a good exhaust skin fitting?

no but

petery had some made and sent one with the e he sold me. basic squre plate with 2" tube welded on, then 1" tube welded to round plate which is welded to end of 2" tube. the ides is that it works a bit like a thermos flask, the heat has to travel up the 1" tube and then the plate and then the skin fitting. bolt this to the transom.
if you get the asap catalogue there are skin fittings in there that could have a 1" tube welded in

also found source of 55 mm and 60 mm ally hose for hot air distribution

I think the photo of the one I made about two years ago is still on boatone's web site. I think that about a dozen copies have now been made by various people. Fairly easy to make.
