1.5 inch windvane mast to 1 inch pushpit

Struggling to find a clamp (u bolts etc) to fix the vertical mast to the top rail of the pushpit.
Tried ASAP, Seascrew etc. Getting desperate!
Any ideas most welcome.

Aa standard bit of kit with Aerogens, have a look at - http://www.lvmshop.co.uk/lvm-accessories/ - but, at £96.59 you may decide to make your own!

Wind generator mast

LVM (Aerogen) have stopped making mast kits. I have an Aerogen4 which was originally fitted on a 1 inch mast! Now upgrading to 1.5 inch using Rutland kit @£104 plus the dreaded!

Rectangle in aluminium, stainless steel or whatever is available, roughly the size of a cigarette packet. Thickness depends on material; if metal not more than 3mm.

Two 1.5in. U-bolts secure the wind vane mast to the rectangle along the long dimension of the plate.

Two 1.0in U-bolts secure the plate to the pushpit tube.


(I hope that this is easily understood).

I'm doing the same job.

Instead of using four, I'm making two extended 1.5 inch "U" bolts and using a metal plate as above.

I was trying to avoid making a plate etc but I could have had the job done in the time I have spent searching.

In the end I made a couple of "J" bolts instead.....
