Has anyone got a fix to prevent the “worm” type growth in the med?

The boat lives in the water all year, lots of build up on the outboard trim rams and the bottom of the outboard self that touches the water.

Thanks in advance.

Increasingly I’m seeing outboards in flushing bags. That’s a large bag that you put the leg in and fill with fresh water.
I was told by a dealer never to leave the outboard raised out the water. He has a large service centre and could see the difference in corrosion between the wet outboards and those exposed to air. The leg can be cleaned but corrosion is forever.
But if they stay wet but only with tap water then there is no organisms
