Our negotiations certainly weren’t brief but after sending in our Jedi surveyor, (who, incidentally was superb!!!)we came to an agreement for the purchase of our new boat.
Once the solicitors got off their arses and sorted out the money transfers, she’s finally ours!!

She’s in need of a bit of TLC and there’s a list of jobs as long as SWMBO’s legs to work through, but we got her for a real good price in the end so we are very, very happy. Big grins all round! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

First job though is to take her out for a few small trips to get used to her. She’s by far the biggest boat I’ve, sorry we’ve helmed so far! The better half has just told me I’ve got to do her PB2 course next weekend (she’s got to start somewhere)so when she’s skipper she can avoid the lifeboats……..but that’s another story!
She’s also doing quite well with the Klutz book of knots,….. I’ve never been tied up so often!!!!? More big grins!

Then it’s off her new home in Essex for lift out and a good bottom scrape and repaint (the boat not SWMBO!) I just hope after spending £190 on Uno antifoul it’s as good as it’s reputation!
There’ll then be a relaunching ceremony with invited dignitaries, so we can give her the new name of “Latest Trick”

Thanks to Cheryl and Alec (unit 18) for the moral support and advice, and to Nick Redfern the surveyor for his above and beyond service. And thanks to all you forumites for your “constructive” input on the few threads I’ve dared to start……I’m sure they’ll be a fair few more over the coming weeks/months.

We’ll hope to exchange waves(?) on the Medway for a couple of weekends, and then over in the Essex/Thames area as the year goes on.

See you on the sea,
Mitch and Hazel

Congratulations! She looks a beaut - you must be over the moon (jealous) /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Anymore photos to show off?

That's just showing off (more jealous) - guess I better get back to work to earn some more £'s

On a serious note congrats - I am sure you will have a lot of fun and adventure in her - I know I would! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Excellent, mitchc. IMHO, the 450 is one of the best boats Sealine ever made with a brilliant aft cockpit/aft cabin design. Have fun

I agree, most Sealines are crap but eh 450 is a classic example of what Sealine do best /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

At least he was nice about our boat!! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Congratulations - she looks great. The aft cabin is truely superb, and something Fairline have never been able to match in a flybridge boat (sorry, couldn't resist!). I'm intrigued by the rather non standard looking windows/hatch in the transom - what's the story there?

I think you'll find that the Turbo 36 was a very popular boat although the 43AC was not.
