Think I have convinced the wife I need a new boat. My current boat is an open sports cuddy type where you get soaked if it gets a bit rough so want a hard top.

What would you get? Merry fisher? Finnmaster? Would want new ish around 20 feet or so.

I can show you round a variety of boats in the Hamble area in that price range if you like, including a selection of Merry Fishers...

Thanks for the offer Ben. Might take you up on the offer at some stage. Was hoping to go to SIPS and get a good discount from the dealers there.

Nautorius, the Quicksilver is a nice bit of kit but £25K really is my max. Wife will kill be if I go over.

Surely it has to be one of these Westline's I've been reading about on this forum just recently. Rumour has it that for a small mention on the YBW forum it's possible to get a free trip to Sweden all expenses paid.

However this is only a rumour!

I like a little panache! Certainly made me smile a bit.
Now, about Sweden..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From the looks of the price on the Weekend 640, it's either a petrol sterndrive or an outboard powered one. The 1.7 diesel is by a long way the best choice, but that pushes the price up to £30k.

The 640 sits on a new hull for Quicksilver which rides very well - I'm told it's the best Quicksilver have built so far but the opportunity to try one has been hard to come by: the UK had several boats that were on order for this summer cancelled due to demand from elsewhere in Europe.
