We have just had a weeks holiday on the boat (on Windermere) and had no room for the two jerry cans in the back of the car (small 2 seater to enjoy the sun we didnt get!!). Had to put a few quid in to keep the tank topped up and was shocked at the price - £1.74 for petrol. Only needed 50 litres to keep it well out of the red but £90 was a bit of a shock.

Now the engine doesnt run as clean on this stuff either an much prefers Tesco fuel so god knows whats being served up!

Is anyone else paying more?

(it was £1.23 for diesel - not sure if this is good or bad but expect its the latter)

Very good I'd say... it's usually a few pence more than the petrol round my way, but we're only paying £1.32 for unleaded at my local Tesco's...

Only £1.23 for diesel-was it red? its about £1.40 a litre here in the Highlands-£1.35 at Tescos

Not much difference in the prices, the thing is the cost for petrol is a bit more than the diesel. I pay £1.74 for petrol and its usual for almost every place.

For some reason the cost has now jumped to £1.76.

Since March it has gone from £1.56 to £1.76 but at the local forecourt the cost has dropped by a few pence.

Its a capture market rip off - there is only one supplier on the lake and the marina's dont allow you to fill up with jerry cans.

I usually take 18 litres each time we go and its keeping things topped up (just) - wont be filling up lake-side whilst this rip-off is going on!!
