    Oxalic acid

The multiples don't seem to "list" it, but if you try an independent pharmacy they may be a bit more helpful. That's how I got the stuff anyhow.

    spraying toplac?

Perhaps you should stick to your usual banal stuff. You clearly don't know much about paint and shouldn't attempt to mislead others.

    removing old coveline tape

....or Polycell paint brush cleaner. I've found it works really well on getting rid of the sticky residue.

    spraying toplac?

I doubt that there is much I could agree with you about, but I was just correcting some missleading errors in your previous post. If you wish I can correct the errors in your follow up. 15 years working for a major paint manufacturer gives me some experience in this field. I'll leave it at...

    spraying toplac?

Mmmmm. All two packs are "nasty" irrespective of whether they are car or marine paints. If they contain isocyanates (and most do) then, if they are sprayed special care needs to be taken with masks and ventilation. Brush or roller application avoids the problem as the isocyantes are not atomised...

[ QUOTE ] Where can I get that stick on plastic that looks like wooden flooring? [/ QUOTE ] Robbins Timber and Toomer & Hayter(?) both supply it. About £75 a sheet.

A Question for James Jermain. Others welcome to look/contribute.

It looks as if the owner should have checked the boat out properly before he bought it. No point taking JJ to task on the basis of a two year old report.

    Stand-on vessel

The courts have only recently held that a jet ski isn't a vessel. You shouldn't have been there.

    Lidl special offers

I've had several sets of their rechargeable batteries which are excellent value. The digital calipers are exactly the same as ones which I have seen for sale elsewhere at £40. Probably not true precision instruments, but very useful indeed.

Oil temperature on 4 stroke outboard.

If the engine is working fine why not test the temperature now and use that as your guideline? Forgive me saying it though, but I think it's a bit OTT to be testing the oil like this.....but what the heck.

gas solder irons, r they all c**p ?

Don't give up on it yet. I had two of the things and, like you, I found that they didn't seem to last long. They ended up in my shed and I bought one of the 12 volt ones which, in answer to SvenglishTommy, works well and seems to last. However, I was reading something a while ago about car...

    "Down-flooding" after grounding?

Re: \"Down-flooding\" after grounding? Doesn't all this assume that the deck/hull joint is sound?

    Cleaning gel coat.

Now you're rubbing it in (pun intended, albeit not a very good one) that I didn't get it cheap!

    Cleaning gel coat.

I think that Screwfix have discontinued it. I tried to get some from them a couple of months ago and they said it wasn't in their current catalogue.
