We have a S23, and have owned it for about 18 years. Despite it being called 'Jersey Girl' (named after the wife who is from there), we have never taken it anywhere other than the river Thames. I have heard on here that someone did once take one across, but that was a few years back.

We went to the marina to take the winter covers off and put the normal canopies on (why do they never fit back easy!!), and to give it a clean.
Was cold, but did get me in the mood for the boating season, just wish the weather would get better.
I think anywhere on the opposite bank is available as per normal (ie, from the leander club to to Mapledurham lock), as we often moor up then as we are on our annual holiday.
There may even be some moorings on the same side as the rally, but a lot further up - past Fawley Court house. Failing...
Hopefully will get to see you and Drumbeat next year. we only caught a glimse of you this year, as we were heading downstream from Abingdon and waiting to enter Culham lock, when you exited.

I get what you are saying but even the private marinas ones have been breaking down this year.
The difference is, they get fixed pretty quickly though.
Any further updates regarding when it might open?
How busy is it near the the lock? I assume most boats upstream just turned around and went and found moorings in Henley or is there a massive queue on the lay-by and the upper meadow
