My pal had one, very powerful but it took up loads of room internally and he had problems with corrosion and fractures. Seemed to me not to be a fully developed technology
Did that so for everyones info they are doing a big refurb which is the installation of a visitors pontoon so if anything things should be easier in terms of getting a berth. Project should be complete in the next couple of weeks.
I think I read somewhere that Torquay is having a major refurb and that visiting berth availability is reduced. Is that the case and if so is it havng a knock on at Brixham in the way that boat fire did a few years back
Don’t know how relatively expensive it is but Victoria quay next to royal clarence have a good travel hoist and good people. Relatively new set up owned I think by abp
Very happy generally with sidepower but my wireless remote is very unreliable and on the forum several people said the same. They also seem to be very expensive or impossible to replace without buying the receiver as well. As a bow thruster, excellent
+1 on brick acid. Assuming it’s bronze no need for anything abrasive. I use about a 50% dilution, the bits fizz for 15 mins, out they come, rinse, coat of hammerite special metals primer and a spray of trilux and back on. As always add acid to water, not the other way round.
