Absolutely right, many thanks
The wire was connected on one engine and not the other. I wonder why its there though, I cant think why you would ever want it connected?

I have a pair of Yanmar 3JH3GE engines, they are both brand new and I sorting out getting the electrical loom through (dont even start me on why Yanmar decided to have exactly the same cable but changed the plugs!). Whilst doing this I noticed a spark when I disconnected the engine starter...
I have a Farymann 15W which has a problem with the diaphragm on the fuel lift pump. I have tried to get a replacement diaphragm but am being told it is not available as a spare part. Instead I am being offered a complete replacement pump at a cost of about £150!
I suspect this lift pump is...
Just out of interest, where? I can see from Capn Sensibles comments the MOD and CAA (civil aviation authority) does not see it as a problem so its academic. I, many years ago, used to run an airport and I had enough trouble because one of the masts on the control tower was too high and...
I assume they have asked the MOD's thoughts, there is no way you can build that lot so close to the runway. As it is the Gibralter runway is borderline for civil use, it operates under a special exemption since it is really an RAF base. I would be surprised if they can build this and still...
The issue I have had is that calcium builds up in the pipe. Varying salinity combined with disinfectants breaks this up and it dislodges in lumps. Sooner or later a couple of these go down at the same time and jam, which then collects anything else that goes down. No amount of acid will...
From many years of 'fecal matter' exposions and copius unblocking there is only really one solution. Every two years, even though its working properly replace the pipes whilst they are still reasonable clean. The with the pipe removed open the seacock for a minute or so. Waiting just...
I have some very aromatic experiences of this!!!! First, dont do it, the manual pump (henderson Mk5) is a whole different ballgame from the electric pumps which I have found require constan unblocking and repairing. I will point out that we a permanat live aboards so not just occasional...
There was absolutly no issue with illegal immigrants in Ragussa, a couple of Morrocons around selling trinkets but that was all and they where never a problem. We have wintered there for the last three years and are retunrning in October. Agree with Vic on fouling at Licata, nightmare...
Arghhhh!!
OK, Yes Vic, Cats can be quick and point well (they use the speed to offset the leeway). I must say the days of us doingover 12kts have gone with the amount of junk we carry around
Huh, yes we can get in to shallow waer but I cant see why that makes us more likely to lay over an...
Showing off now because its taken ages to get this to work
So this is me sitting in a bar in Marina Di Ragusa with the boats information transmited over the internet to my iphone and from there to a pebble watch. It also repeats all of the NMEA data so I can read any information on the...
Thanks. The interface I have is a non webasto serial interface (nine pin serial at one end and the powe and signal wires at the other, which I connect to USB using a standard converter for which the drivers are built into windows. Worked just fine until I mislaid the software!
Does anyone have a copy, or knows where I can download the webasto thermo test software. I cant find my copy and it used to be available from the webasto site but they have now put it behind access control, presumably for dealers only.
