    My Floating Home (channel 4)

CRT/EA least are much more on top of this than they used to be, though the effective removal of casual mooring on much of the Thames because of the inability to harshly police an antisocial minority was a huge shame.

God this weather is SO depressing - cruise ideas anyone?

The gale systems arriving every weekend is particularly cruel given I attempt to cruise while working. Total write off so far this year - particularly as I started late due to camping on Islay for the whiskey festival. The weather then was idyllic of course and I spent much of my time enviously...

How long do you dare leave your anchored boat…..

I dragged there after 4 days without movement! I think due to weed build up on the yacht legs

Quickfire round! Balaclava, Church Cope Bay or Portland?

The harbourmaster giving me a lecture about reading the notices to mariners at 7:30AM. I moved, scraping the weed off my anchor..

Quickfire round! Balaclava, Church Cope Bay or Portland?

They are on me 8am sharpish every time unless I do it online. Rather pricey now you can't moor anywhere semi pleasant like castle cove

What's to stop someone undoing your ropes and letting your boat float away?

Had it happen while narrowboating - no harm done on a canal but above a bridge on the Thames is a little less fun

    Rock on

I imagine disposal (if not recycling) is built into turbine blade manufacture in a way that it isn't with boats. As a MAB fan and tinkerer I would personally most likely choose something to upcycle again

Isn't wind turbine manufacture likely a larger user of GRP than leisure boating nowadays?

    E-propulsion I-Series (inboard)

The EV car market has pretty significant problems with service life, interoperation of components and the possibility of service outside of the manufacturer's own network. If i had megabucks I might be happy with a hybrid system of some sort. But without the enthusiasm of Uma (and the obvious...

    Studland bay

I am the other way round! I rarely use buoys as its a pain solo. Similarly rafting without crew is something I have avoided. Anchoring is much more convenient where you still can.. though I would probably sleep sounder the first night on a buoy.

    Studland bay

Pottery pier is very sticky, but when crowded you can end up swinging into the shallows. Nice spot though
