Flag Etiquette... the Jubilee Pageant Flag/Pennant

I presume that the Jubilee Flag/Pennant which boats in the pageant wore, may be worn on other vessels under the command of the skipper on the big day. Am I correct? So once the boat that took part in the bash is sold, the flag can be transferred to the skipper's new boat... any thoughts? Thanks

    Max

There is an 18' (or so) old diesel-powered, wooden workboat, which on Sunday just gone was being used for leisure on the river at/about Chiswick. It is called Max. On Sunday a number of sailing boats had to take urgent action to avoid it: one failed to do so, and it was only by luck that the...

    volvo ips problems

Here's the picture: New Rodman IPS penta 500s The engine hours counters have stuck at about 40/50 hours. Well, they do count up as the passage progresses, but then revert to 40/50 hours. The port engine and s/b engines show as about 9 hours out of sync anyway!! Volvo seem to be like rabbits...

    Cold weather

Went to give "Song and Dance" a good wash earlier in the week, but found her covered in frost, and the temp. in the marina well below freezing. It seemed to us that apart from the discomfort, it might not be a good idea to wash her with warm water. Would the gel coat suffer at all if we were to...

Etiquette when hit by another boat when in marina?

We collected our brand new Muse 44 from Hamble a month ago. Stopped in Eastbourne to see some friends. A nice empty berth. Off to the pub..back about 45 mins later, and a Dutch sailing boat moored next to us...thought it odd they wouldn't exactly meet our eyes (my wife particularly perceptive...
