hi Jerry, must be my mistake, Im not used to working in that new stuff, im a feet and inches man bot could only find a metric tape, Here goes again, 500 from side to side on the gimble and the Thetford sits comfortably in between and 300 to 350 deep, (thats the cooker) I hope I got it right this...
Hi Jerry, just been out and measured the gimble, side to side is 50mm and I think the Thetford is about 30 to 35mm deep, not sure about flame failure device but will find out. Cannot tell you the model right now because as I said its down on the boat. Cheers, Steve
hi Jerry, will check width of gimble shortly, its in my car but the rest is on my boat down in Southampton. I bought it from Force4, I think the actual cooker part was around £135/40 plus all the fittings. The gas tap was about £18, shielded hose was in the region of £20 plus the roll of copper...
New and unused Thetford 2 burners and grille complete with new grille pan, flexible shielded hose, tap and copper tubing. I paid £180 but now I dont need it. Also comes with gimble that is not new but does what its supposed to. Will accept £120 0VNO
Hi, I also have a Macwester Rowan Crown, have you any pictures? love to see it. The marina next to where I am in Southampton broke one up last year, I,ll ask if they got any parts left, Steve in Hove
Has anyone got an Avon inflatable for sale? I,ve got an 8 foot one with detachable outboard bracket, I would like one a couple of feet longer with built in transom
Thankyou so much for the lovely pictures, sure brings back great memories, any idea what became of them? I was on the doreen b for about 18 months, mid 76 through to 1977, had great fun, once again thankyou so much, Steve
Hi Krew2 thanks again for your reply, I think we hit the nail on the head, angle of halyard and the swivel although I dont think its raunchy, lol. We bought the boat last November and its still on its mooring in Woolston. I,ll have another play with it then see where I go from there. Thanks...
Hi Dipper, thanks for the reply, I had already looked at the diagrams showing the angle the halyard should be, mine just pulls straight up so maybe I,ll try that first although the gizmo the halyard fits to and the sail fits underneath does seem quite graunchy when you turn it by hand. Once...
Hi, Im finding this conversation very interesting, I have a rotostay on my McWester, last weekend I had it up and down half a dozen times trying to sort the problem, just keeps jamming up, the rope (Im new to sailing) that pulls the sail up keeps tangling itself around the gizmo, from what Im...
