There is a railway swing bridge at Reedham, you call the operator on 12 and he will tell you when the bridge will open, beware of quite strong...
I am looking to buy a secondhand diesel engine which I can use during RYA engine courses.
It must be working but can be knackered as it will not be pulling any load. Ideally at least 4 cylinders, not bothered about a gear box.

As Cantata has pointed out, the present MRCC's cannot possibly have intimate local knowledge of the areas they cover. Thames area finishes at Southwold where Yarmouth takes over. Their area reaches to Halle Sand fort in the Humber, so, in theory, how can they co-ordinate an incident off...
I think you will find that the DTI used to administer the RYA Yachtmaster commercial section before the MCA took over. All that happened is some government or other changed from the old BoT, (Board of Trade), to the DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) then changed it all to the MCA.

I have seen this request on these forums in the past and I have looked back to see if I can find any reference, a couple I found says the site no longer has the plotting sheets.
Does any one know of a site where the plotting sheets can be downloaded.

I have a copper earthing plate fixed to the underwater hull of my boat. While out of the water for a bit of a refit, I took the plate off to see the condition of the wood under the copper.
I now need to refit the plate and cannot get any bronze screws any where locally, quickly.
