Access roads around Milford Marina are private, owned by the port authority (who own much of the town too, it seems). Vicious speed strips of the sort never used on public roads beyond the boatyard entrance.

I have two self tailing Enkes 22T winches. The drum is held in place by a collar which is also the stripper arm. A design fault allows the whole arm to rotate under load, despite tightening the pinch bolt as much as I dare. Later versions were modified with some sort of pin to stop this...

This does the rounds, but generally concerns antifoul removal from GRP hulls. Presumably this method can be used to remove same from wooden hulls, but does anyone have any experience of soda blasting the inside of a clinker boat? I don't relish spending months scraping off all the varnish but...
