    Old communications and Seatalkng

STNG and N2K use exactly the same protocols. All you would need is a N2K to STNG cable to connect a 0183 to N2K converter to the STNG network. You could also use a STNG to N2k backbone converter cable to create a combined STNG to N2K backbone/network, then connect the 0183 converter to it with...

    Summer scrub price rise

Shotley offer no discount for berth holders. Beacon give 30% to berth holders, not 20%. No shortage of lifts on the Orwell. Yes, Woolverstone have stopped doing lifts, but the other marinas have comfortably taken up the slack. Neptune have not closed, as such, they have been taken over by...

Just had a week ashore at Ipswich, worked out at £48 per metre. Comparable with Shotleys "special" and i didn't have to wait until June.

Best way to make this connection?

One of my customers used them to join the masthead lights wiring after having the mast off. They looked tidy, but when pulled the wires heat shrink stretched until it broke, revealing wires with no solder on them, they were just held together with the glue and heat shrink. A better option where...

    Beal Rope Cleaner

Yes, it won't do more for mud than soaking in water, but the OP said "I am going to try it on the green slime covered ones on the boat."

Trudesign - anyone had any problems?

Forespar say : A backing block or an equivalent structure molded integrally into the resin/glass hull lay-up is required for installations on all non-flat hull surfaces. This is also recommended procedure for flat surfaces as well. For wood backing blocks, white oak is a commonly used wood...

    Beal Rope Cleaner

Just drop your lines in a bucket of diluted Patio Magic, don't rinse them off too much and they stay clean for months.

Trudesign - anyone had any problems?

That's absolute nonsense. How can they have problems with frost on fittings below the waterline ? If they have not heard of Trudesign they must be living in caves. That said, i think i'd rather fit Forespar seacocks
