Bull sharks are territorial, I’d never swim there. I’ve seen pelagic species show up out of nowhere offshore so I never enter the water no matter how enticing on a hot windless day. A few buckets over the head have to suffice.

You might consider running for political office. The listing broker has a contract with the seller which typically requires payment should the boat sell within a specified time frame. You may wait for the listing to expire but the boat may be sold and no longer available to you.

The US Coast Guard has stringent design standards and annual inspections for passenger vessels. I find it hard to imagine a scenario where one entrance with no alternative means of escape would have been allowed. It will be interesting to see what is discovered once the official accident...

The riding slip will ensure a failed capstan brake does not result in the anchor being deployed in error. The cable in the cable lockers would not be that neat in use....it was for illustrative purposes only. Yes, if you provide the details and photos of your specific ground tackle arrangement...
