Latitude/Longitude - A series of imaginary lines on the Earth's surface, drawn at intervals parallel to the equator (latitude) or the poles (longitude) as an aid to navigation. Since they are invisible, many mariners find them of limited usefulness. (Lubber's Dictionary)
