    Amps

Generally it would mean 12 ampere hours. Meaning that it will average half an amp at 12 volts over a 24 hour period. The word is generally. If its blowing a hooley all week it will give you considerably more, if there is no wind all week it will give you no charge at all. Hope this helps. regards

    wind chargers

has anyone used the navitron portable wind powered charger on a boat it would seem to be better value than most others. at about £300 for 200 watts. If you type in navitron in the search engine it usually finds it. I am not associated with them I would like to know if anyone else has one and if...

    Replacing gas pipes

I believe that I read in pbo that americans use flexible pipe almost up to the cooker, and if its replaced before the expiry date that this is ok. I have no doubt that there will be many ways some better than 'the standard' and some worse. I like pvc coated copper pipe as this protects the pipe...

    harbour master slips

I have just read in MBY that a harbour master has been awarded some 6000 pounds when he slipped up on some steps, that workers have been complaining about for some years. Perhaps i am wrong but surely the harbour master is responsible for the state of the steps and had had some years to deal...

    red diesel

I would be wary of telling fibs to the revenue if your tank is full of unpaid tax diesel after November. There is a chemical marker in red diesel, not only the colour. This may be changed for diesel deliveries after November. So they will know if the fuel is old red or not. I am not a chemist...

    heating and propulsion red diesel

I dont believe that boat owners will get away with that. It will be very difficult to convince the French authorities if you have one tank. i would say 2 tanks may be an answer. It all depends as to how the law is enforced. After all do you all do your archery practice on sundays, or has that...

    usage

many thanks for rather pleasing information. I think I will install another tank for heating and battery charging. and use all the diesel I already have. At one time i was thinking of using all the red going to france filling up with french diesel (white) and putting this into the car, french...

    Megapulse Battery Conditioner

Compass sell one which seems good value. As a quickie they send a high frequency pulse to the battery the plates resonate and all the sulphation drops off to fall to the bottom. Some people swear by them others swear at them £40 is cheaper than a new battery may be worth a try. regards

    Johnson 2hp outboard - won't start-compression?

Re: Johnson 2hp outboard - won\'t start-compression? Have the same problem be careful not to break the cylinder head bolts. The gasket blows between the head and the water passages. It will run ok until you stop it and then never start. There should be a fair bit of pressure if you stick your...
