Help buy a new boat from Europe to UK

That's excellent - thanks. I see your quote in section 8 'obligations of private importers'. Helpfully, the footnotes to that document include this: '2: Until 11pm 31 December 2024, products conforming to EU rules, including the CE marking, may be placed on the market of Great Britain.' So...

Help buy a new boat from Europe to UK

Yes but as above, can you point me toward a source for this?

Help buy a new boat from Europe to UK

Can you point me toward something to support your assertion here about the need to comply with the current RCD, rather than the contemporaneous RCD please?

    Princess 54: Winter Preparation

If you were med based, don't you have aircon? If that has dehum mode, that's what I'd use. I used to just leave mine in dehum mode all winter, worked perfectly. Regarding fuel and water, I'd keep the fuel as full as possible, and the water as empty as possible (and depressurised with taps...

Fairline Targa 40 w/Valiant D-270 Tender Outboard Size

I used a Tohatsu 9.8 two stroke with my D270. Absolutely flew - you could get it to plane with two fat blokes on board. You have to remove the engine cowling to close the garage door but in practice this isn't much of an inconvenience.

Sud diesel Antibes or BH Service Vitrolles - anybody used them?

Same as everyone else for Sud Diesel - quick, competent, expensive (this was for VP engines and drives)

    Where are they now?

Evening all. I've just logged in for the first time in c.100 years, and see that I have been tagged here. I still exist! :D Hope all are well.

    Go Big or Go Home?

Have you actually been on a Phantom 48 yet? I like the styling of them - but the so-called master cabin is very compromised, the double bed is only about 4ft wide, it is basically a big single. Fun, briefly, but just not practical for longer stays.

    Raymarine ACU-100

It did. It's a complicated story but I inadvertently bought two of them during a big refit. One was installed, and (much) later I realised I had another one. I am now having a clear out.

    Broker Response Problems. HELP!!

PS to your original question about broker response, why don't you just call them? Always more immediate than emailling, and as a gross generalisation, prospects who all are usually more serious (and taken more seriously) than prospects who email

    Broker Response Problems. HELP!!

Targa 40 is too small for 2 adults and 4 kids. I'd say the T43 was as well, Overall the running costs with the T43 will be lower than the T40 unless you are doing zillions of hours a year in which case the fuel savings with the T40 will begin to show - but for typical 50-100 hour pa use the...

Pan declared - loss of steering

Hi S Well done on all of this. As a point of interest, were your radio calls on 16 in English or French? When I was in SoF I always had a concern in the back of my mind that my French wouldn't be good enough for rt comms in an emergency.
