    New build Sanlorenzo SL96A 2024

You would be amazed at some of the requirements for "high end" beds - we used to supply wool for mattress filling but we had one manufacturer making a bed with cashmere filling. Believe it or not, some of the manufacturer's clients would specify white cashmere rather than brown even though it...

A different EU v UK question on boat place

As a property and boat owner in the Balearics our time spent enjoying both has been curtailed because of the 90/180 rule and the most frustrating aspect is that if an EU national visits the UK they can stay for an unbroken period of 180 days. Why we didn't negotiate the same deal for UK citizens...

    Advice - Mallorca to Ibiza

Santa Eulalia marina is excellent and gives you easy access to the North East coast where there are lots of interesting Calas - Cala Xarracca, Cala Xucla, Benirras, Puerto San Miguel etc On Formentera try Cala Saona, it will be fairly busy but it’s beautiful and very safe for overnight stays.

    Breath of Angels

I came across the book Breath of Angels a few years ago in a second hand bookshop and bought it, then when I started reading it I recognised Dado, the guy who had been rescued. I scuba dived with him on many occasions in Grenada where he was working as a dive master in a hotel there. We had...

    Axopar Build Quality

I’m not jumping on a “knock Axopar” bandwagon but there was also a worrying incident highlighted on the SuperYachtCaptain series on You Tube - they have an Axopar 37 as a chase boat/tender and the bow thruster on their boat dropped off. Hopefully these are just isolated incidents because I...

    Sunseeker or Princess

Camargue 50 is a wonderful boat - we’ve owned one for ten years and still love it. Build quality is excellent and we’ve had very few issues either mechanical or electrical. The forward cabin suffers from drooping headlining as do many boats from that time but it can be fixed. The navigation...

D12 high temp.. or false sensor reading

I have exactly the same engines but with around 650 hours, and exactly the same temperatures that you are getting. I’ve had everything checked by the VP service engineers and they say that there is no problem with overheating. We’ve never had the overheating alarm go off so the thought is that...

    Cranchi 41 Endurance owners

We used to own the earlier version of your boat, the Endurance 39 and had ten years of enjoyment in the Med with it. Relatively basic fit-out but structurally absolutely sound and we had very few problems with the boat over the whole time we owned it. Not sure about the 41 but the quality of the...

Quick Drone Video of Santa Eulalia

The covered area is the Sunseeker dealer’s - a very large proportion of their clients’ boats are wintered ashore

Quick Drone Video of Santa Eulalia

Great video, we’ve berthed our boats there for twenty years and still love it. But please, no videos of Es Calo - it’s an awful horrible place, very dangerous, ugly buildings, sea monsters, the water is filthy - keep away
