Rigel quartz chronometer, not working, inherited from bro. Might be worth a repair, the company no longer exists, any ideas? I suppose any clock repair outfit would do.
These cracks would not show inside. I repaired cracks in gel coat, they were also in the substrate, I had to grind that back as well. Imo very difficult to crack the gel without cracking what it's attached to.
More to this one than meets the eye. I will be careful and say everything here has 'allegedly' before it, but I was there on the day.
The epirb fired. Sadly the owner had not changed the owner details so the CG started ringing the previous owner on Scilly, and the Scilly HM. The previous owner...
Ermmm....really?
A local boat sank off the Lizard. The epirb went off. The Cg started ringing round, sadly the (new) owner had not changed the epirb owner details so they were ringing the previous owner and the HM on Scilly. (Who rang the new owner's mum, that cheered her up). Scilly is within...
A fart. GF mother was going to lift a laundry basket, "Here, allow me" I stepped in front of her, she straightened up, I bent down, and half way....well it wasn't what Bob Mortimer calls 'a little tommy squeaker', somewhat more fiull blown. I think it went straight up her nose.
She already made...

Mine has ally sides, but the ply floor has gone twice. I suppose the cheapest sawn timber is going to be the answer unless there is something to be scrounged. 40-45 years ago I built three FVs, and the WBP, BS 1088 was affordable and excellent quality, untreated, used for the deck, never failed...
Legend has it that in about 1920 there was to be a gig race on copperhouse pool at Hayle. The Cadgwith gig crew was renowned at the time , and the gig which came to race against them was left on the rail wagon when they saw the opposition. Legend has it. We do know that the gig was stored in a...
I think it's a plastic shaft in ally, so good chance of parting it off. No amount of unguents helped with mine. You may need a gasket for the power head if removed, I didn't bother. Only thing is, although I have done it many times, I could not get the water pipe back in the pump last time, had...
