I'd join a club like Saltash or Cargreen on the Tamar. Save a fortune! Get a bilge keeler and you can haul it out almost anywhere too, or plonk it on a flatbed trailer.
I once kept a Vivacity 24 in a very small marina in Fareham, up past the yacht club, right next to the gravel loading dock. Can't remember its name but there were a few liveaboards there back then. Cheap too.
I have used the yard in Arzal, on the Villaine river before. was excellent at the time, although that was a few years ago. They have a marina there too, just above the lock.
Your UK registered boat can stay in the EU for 18 months before it becomes liable to VAT. Taking your boat out of the EU for a while before returning will reset the clock. If you are a UK resident then you personally can only remain in the EU for 90 days in any 180 day period.
Cross to Roscoff to check in. Next day overnight at L'Aberwrach. Following day get the tides right and it's a straight run through CdF and down through the Raz to S Brittany. Unless, of course, you want to visit Brest or Cameret along the way.
We used to keep ours at Arzal. It was cheap and security was good in the compound ashore. Not a great base for day sailing from in the summer though due to the lock but we usually went off for months at a time. La Roche Bernard up the river a tad has always been rammed - mostly with UK boats...
