I remember a similar proposal for Swansea Bay. Every time someone looked at the proposal in detail the cost went up and the electricity generation went down. I suspect this will have similar economics
An old crewmember was an optician. He took my traveller cars which were blocked with corrosion and cleaned them in his ultrasonic bath, normally used for cleaning glasses. Worked well.
Why not see if any of the existing racing fleet are looking for crew for a race or two. Give you an idea of whether you enjoy racing and the standard of the fleet.

Swallow yachts produced a powersailer recently. I think it was the Coast 250. Big outboard well forward to get the weight central. Not sure if it is still in production. There was a test in one of the sailing mags at the time.
