Interesting - I see they recommend 2x120AH lead acid leisure batteries for the 5hp version. Couldn't find any details regarding the engine's performance such as range etc.
An interesting update - thanks
I have an Etap 22i which would be lighter than your Jaguar and also has a well for the motor. I was looking at the 1.6kw Torqeedo Travel (5hp equivalent) which would appear to be adequate in most circumstances for us, but I'm not sure whether it would be too bulky...
Thanks for the replies - Ill try the copydec glue that refueler mentioned I think - there were only a couple of the numbers that were coming away - the rest all seem ok
I have some fairly old Jeckell sails (unknown fabric) for a Mirror dinghy. A couple of the sail numbers have come adrift - what would be the best glue to reattach them that won't harm the sail?
Thanks
I think there can be problems with the iron encapsulated ballast on older boats. If it corrodes, it expands and can damage the hull. I haven't got one but have heard this can be problematic.

Setting the tension varies depending on the type of rig you have - for example a fractional rig will need greater shroud tension. On this type of rig the cap shrouds will impart tension on the forestay.
This link to the Selden website explains rig tensions for different types of rig under "Hints...
I get your point as I have a Yamaha two stroke with no drain plug on the carb. I run it dry but presume there will still be a small residue left. I am considering, before I put the engine way, running a bit of Aspen fuel through the system which should completely evaporate leaving no residue...
I like to use new 2 stroke fuel at the start of each season which means I have leftover fuel, which is normally E5 plus stabiliser, mixed with marine grade oil at 50:1. Can I use this in lawnmowers, strimmers, chainsaws etc ?
I note Aspen fuel do not recommend using Aspen 2, which is ready...
