    Anode bolts

As far as I'm aware, the general train of thought is not to use stainless steel fixtures or fitting under water because of the possibility of crevice corrosion occurring in the absence of air. For this reason the tendency is to use non stainless steel through-hull bolts. I've seen people use...

    How big is a liferaft

Which raft are you asking about, Charter, Iso, or Ocean? The 4-man Charter raft I have inflated here is 1650mm square, and 1300mm from bottom of floor to top of canopy. Hope that helps.

    Hold Fast - Sailing Video

Watched this a while ago, and I remember thinking at the time that it (both the boat and their holiday) was a bit buckshee and thrown together, but hey ho why the hell not. Rather them than me though.

Navitus Bay Wind Farm - short survey help please!

Done, I know it's hard to get responses for this sort of thing, having helped someone carry out a survey recently. Very straight-forawrd and easy to complete.

    Danboline Bilge Paint

I have used it for years and always been impressed. The most recent use was a few weeks ago and it certainly seemed to go on the same way as it always has - both white and grey and very opaque and give good coverage. I have heard a few people saying it's very fumey but haven't personally thought...

    Teak folding boarding ladder

Sorry for reviving this but out of interest, do you remember where you got this (or was it home-made)? I've been looking for something similar for a while and this looks just the thing!

How do you fit your sailing in?

Having seen the results, most people are either just having time off from work, or retired. No surprises there then!

    Noisy pumps

Although this sounds ideal, I'd personally be slighlty concerned about overheating issues. I know they don't get that hot, but running continuously the pump bodies do get rather warm, and put them in a confined space for 20 minutes (while pumping out a long shower perhaps) and it *might* be a...

    Damage to camper window

Or just on the off-chance that you have some lying around on the boat, I've used Mylar sail repair tape with great effect on portlights and hatches with cracks to effect temporary repairs (one of which lasted a year and a half looking no worse that when it went on). Much better than sellotape.
