Just thought I would share my latest, went to Southampton Boat Show last September, looked at Fairline T40, sat down with a few salespeople, got up and walked away to consider....then......I gazed into in the distance, I had completely forgotten that Swordsman Marine were turning out the...
Yup, I have looked at all the websites, most of them mis-describe the boat, i.e white hull when actually green...wonder why they do that.
I am planning on trying to find a privately advertised boat if possible. Do both buyer and seller a favour.

I dont think the engine options (42's-44's) are too much of a concern for me, other than the Yamaha's (420STI) as I dont know much about them? I would happily go for a 38/39 white or blue hull with mooring on South coast if anybody is considering selling....I know that brokers have them but...
Shame, really. I have only just started looking at the larger boats as I had rested with the 37. If I had been into the larger boats I would have seen yours. Never mind, I appreciate your input. What did you replace her with?

Surely it depends on the product and therefore the target audience. I would say if the product is technology focussed then buyers would be more inclined to buy on price alone, inclusive of like-for-like 'free' gift. Whereas other 'soft' products, home furnishings for example may be more suitable...
The 39 is becoming more attractive I must admit, shame you have sold as I would like to have seen yours, may have saved some brokers fees.... Assuming what you say is correct regarding the size I assume they must have a different hull than the 38?

I asked you knowledgeable fellowes/fellowesses(?) some time ago about boat chice between Sealine and Fairline open tops. Have decided that Targa is the way to go but wonder if I could seek some more input. I am slightly perplexed by the important differences between T37, 38, 39 and 40. Apart...
Re: Formula 34\'
I wish I had taken a picture of said boat whilst over there, at rest it rises 15-20degrees and looks very much built for a purpose, nice custom engine cover that raises pneumatically to reveal concourse standard engine prep, no such thing as silencing to speak of, it is for...

Formula 34\'
Whilst in Guernsey I saw quite an amazing boat, just wondered if anybody here has seen/heard it, quite impressive. Formula 34 with twin 850HP supercharged 8litre chevy's, apparently it will top out at 105-110knots, splendid. Superchargers only running 4psi of boost, each engine has...
how badly cracked? valve to valve can be ultrasealed, I have known of cracked liners in rover v8's be repaired with ultraseal treatment, Audi used it on all their RS4 cylinder heads from the factory.
OSH and Marstons Pedigree are brewed with rotten eggs are they not?

WRT where to keep the boat we thought about SthFrance until I learned that you have to pay 18% of 'foreign' boats' value if kept there for more than 6 months, assume that if you buy over there then this doesnt apply? The T35 I saw today was in Channel Islands, nice location but weather not much...
After a little time I have made a bit more progress, saw a nice '93 Targa 35 today that seems to fit the 'new entrant' category quite well, cheaper (much) than a newer targa, kad42's, roomy, low hours, needs a bit of cosmeticaryness but overall a nice boat. Anybody out there have one of these...
Yup, I think from all the info I have had I will aim for a Targa 37 with blue hull. They are a little above my cash budget but worth the extra. I am amazed by all the feedback, looking forward to having a beer with one or two of you soon. My strategy is to wait until Southampton boat show and...
I appreciate everybody's advice and I will keep my fingers crossed that the right boat (Targa 36 I feel) turns up in good time. I will probably rush into the purchase but be thoroughly chuffed, anyway, somebody told me that boats of this age ('96ish) have lost all their money...oh yeah, it was a...
