Thats very kind of you but I do not have the werewithall or energy to undertake that, it runs so well so I believe in leaving well alone & its just a quick squirt of hot air on a cold day afterall regards BG

I have solved my starting problem, very difficult starting when cold and running backwards, blowing out airfilter, fault diagnosed by Marine Power as compressed con rod, other view was timing, engine has 300 hours runs great when warm. So the final answer is remove air filter hold down...
