Defence requirements
I always feel that a lot of defense expenditure is to keep design talent and skill in the UK as well as keeping lots of people employed. Look how many jobs are involved in building the two aircraft carriers.

Marine Navigation (No 2) Bill
Sending an e-mail such as the below might help. Amend if necessary. You must include your own name, address, and telephone number if you write to your MP as you must live in their constituency. You can get their name and e-mail address from...
St Malo as fog cleared
On a trip from Guernsey to St Malo in June a sea mist came down, with visibility of a bout 500 yards. The chart plotter got us to the SWM when the mist lifted.
As others will know the view then is rocks, more rocks and a lighthouse, as well as buoys.
The Pilot Book...
I found a copy of Hansard (not something to be read lightly) on a train seat. Having never read this daily missive before I scan read through it and found reference to a Marine Navigation Bill that is before Parliament. One section that concerned me is reproduced below. Is this something we...

Sunsail boats

Campervans in France

You get the nice jobs!
You have tested the new Dufour 36 Performance and now they have announced a Dufour 500 Grand Large, first showing Cannes in September.
A D 36 Performance flew past us between Guernsey and Cherbourg a couple of weeks ago with spinnaker flying. I spoke to the skipper...
Cherbourg
Carefour in Cherbourg is open, although the outside is a building site. If you cross over the bridge and carry on over the fishing nets and past the wire railings the entrance is on the side of the building towards the end. Once inside there is a wide range of wines at excellent...
