Pete already had a successful shipwright's business in Port Townsend if I remember correctly. I suspect he saw the direction Tally Ho was taking and decided to return to doing his own thing.
The question doesn't arise if the boat is taken out of the equation.
In a similar situation if you were parked elsewhere you wouldn't have the thought process about using red, you would just go to the filling station and fill up.
Did mine yesterday. Its a messy job and really quite difficult to pack the grease into the greaser. It would be difficult to pack without getting air in the mix. Just ignore the air bubbles.
+1 to all Concerto has said, except I use Trilux on mine. No fouling. Boat is in the water 6 months and I've never had an issue with the blades not opening. They just work, mine will be 17 years old this coming season. Never had to remove it from the boat.
They are the retailer. My understanding is they have to rectify any defects. Dependant on amount paid I would write and am then to put the issue right and if no satisfaction small claims court.
