    For JFM

Hi Shane, thanks also from A&K - really appreciate you taking the time to do that for us. Hope the Jacksons measure up!

MedMilo, did the 40kg delta fit on the sq58 bowroller without modification? Looking at maybe getting one as an upgrade or the rocna / ultra but need to work out what will fit on the sq58 bow roller! Thanks

    Counter top ice maker

We’ve got the slightly bigger Polar one vs the onr lisilou has. Would also highly recommend Polar, had ours for years and still does an excellent job. Both of them are here: https://www.catering-appliance.com/ice-makers-manual-fill Not recommending that site as i just did a quick search but...

Not off the top of my head I'm afraid. It was the gap that gets you down into the utility room in an old shape Sq 58 if you can get on one or anyone else can measure. It's a pretty small gap though. 80cm wide maybe? I probably wouldn't have thought it would work had jfm not already done it!

Hi Mapism, the tumble drier we took apart and put back together was a Siemens one. Thanks again to JtB, JFM and team! How many screws did we have left over Jimmy?

    Gyro stabilizers

We have a Sq58 with a Seakeeper installed. I am convinced that the gyro impacts the movement of the boat when we're mooring. Usually the engines really move the stern round to moor, I don't think this happens so much with the gyro engaged. So whenever we start to moor now we disengage the gyro...

    Humphree stabilisation system?

Hi Mike, we have a Sq58 - so virtually identical to Nick's P57. We have the seakeeper 9 fitted. Very happy with the results and also the fitting by Nemo. They do good work - esp in the context of the SoF where the workmanship can be mixed! Happy to chat further if you'd like.

    Princess 43

Hi Andrew, we're the older sq58 - a 2008/9 and so we had to lose the crew cabin - or at least turn it into a store room with gyro! I think the new 58 is an easier fit. Seakeeper actually sent me drawings of where it would go on your boat thinking i had the newer model and it was easier. I don't...

Haha, there was one more after you, uninvited! I would have been furious normally but was grateful for the wash to try the gyro out?.. Petem, i'm reluctant to start a gyro vs. stabs debate...For us there was no discussion as the gyro is a relatively easy (in the context of boats!) retrofit...

Hi Magnum, As nickh says, we've just had a sealeeper 9 fitted to our boat as we were sick of Mr H sitting there gloating when we were rafted next to him and rolling all over the place while he didn't move. It's a proper transformation. I can't recommend highly enough. It feels like an expensive...

Any of the SoF lot around next thursday (July 2nd)

I managed to get an uber from antibes to the airport and it was about eur30! Older car but driver was pleasant. The problem is there aren't many uber drivers and getting attacked by the cartel of drivers at the airport doesn't help. Still surprised the drivers at the airport get enough biz to...
