Its a shame they didnt have structural a survey which im sure would have told them the whole boat is rotten.
Its far easier and better and probably cheaper to have a new boat built from scratch rather than a new boat built around the old one... but its interesting seeing the craftsmen plying their trade the brazilian way :D

To do justice to the Brazilian shipwrights the cabin should come off and remaining wood work replaced as rot is probably in the whole ship.Getting the cabin off would make it possible to sort out the engine and its ancillarys and tankage.Who is advising on what needs to be done

I doubt that is the case where they are working...no time spent looking at drawings or lifting lines etc just great tradesmen doing fantastic work no H&S, and I suspect just simple bills for work being done..
