F6 wind against tide when we crossed the Solent at 3 pm, don't know why my crew were a tad grizzly about getting mildly moist.
The only way was to get on top of the waves ;)

I didn't really find the headwind too much of a chore, possibly due to most of my training rides being into the wind. I did find the rolling hills on the third leg quite a chore, but my bottom gear seemed significantly higher than most. I will look at either a smaller chain wheel, or different cassette for the next ride.
